on a vaguely related note...work has been started on the building that makes up the 200 block of w 7th and commerce (between Perry and Porter, across the street from the old manchester lofts). I spoke to the guy who is doing the floors, and it's going to be condos (I know, big surprise, right?). I don't know who is actually in charge of the whole thing...all I know is that soon they'll take the tree out that has been growing out of the gutter.

The Old Dominion Railway Historical Society reports on their website and newsletters that the renovated Hull Street Station in Manchester is slated to reopen in early 2010 (this year) as the new space for the Old Dominion Railway Museum, after years and years of planning and elbow grease.

Great news on Old Dominion Railway Museum, I'm looking forward to this addition to the neighborhood.
